Terms of Service

Garden Kinship is a small, hobbyist-run web app for planning and tracking gardens. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

You're responsible for keeping your password safe. You can sign in with email or Google. One person per account.

You own everything you upload — photos, garden plans, notes. By marking a garden "public", you're granting other visitors of Garden Kinship a non-exclusive licence to view it. Switch it back to private at any time to revoke.

• Upload illegal, hateful, or harmful content.
• Attempt to access other users' private data.
• Use the service to send spam or scrape data en masse.
• Harass, stalk, or impersonate other gardeners via direct messages, posts, comments, or marketplace listings.
• List items that you do not have the legal right to sell or give (e.g. invasive species regulated in Sweden, protected plants, or stolen tools).

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Garden Kinship includes follows, a feed, comments, likes, direct messages, a People discovery page, and a marketplace with trade negotiation and ratings. Content you post or send through these features can be viewed by other signed-in members (or, for public gardens and listings, by anyone with the link).

You can delete your own posts, comments, messages, and listings at any time. Ratings others give you are retained as a reputational signal even after you delete the associated trade, but the rated user can request their full removal by writing to hello@gardenkinship.com.

Garden Kinship facilitates listings and introductions between gardeners; we are not a party to any transaction. We do not handle payments, escrow, shipping, or returns. Trades and sales happen between the gardeners themselves. We accept no liability for items exchanged, money lost, or disputes between members. Use common sense — meet in public, verify what you receive before confirming a trade, and report bad actors via hello@gardenkinship.com.

Garden Kinship is free to use. A paid tier may launch later — if it does, the features you have today stay free.

We do our best to keep the service running, but it's provided "as is". Don't rely on Garden Kinship for anything safety-critical (e.g. don't sue us if a frost reminder is off).

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms with reasonable notice when possible.

Swedish law. Disputes go to Stockholm tingsrätt.
