flowerCamassia is a genus of perennial bulbous plants in the Asparagaceae family native to North America. They grow 30–130 cm tall with basal linear leaves and multi-flowered stems producing six-petaled flowers ranging from pale lilac or white to deep purple or blue-violet, often coloring entire meadows when in bloom.
Prefers well-drained soil, tolerates light sandy and medium loamy soils. Mildly acid, neutral, and basic (mildly alkaline) soils suitable. Thrives in moist soil conditions.
