flowerGeum is a genus of flowering plants within the Rosaceae family comprising about 60 accepted species and hybrids, widely distributed across Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa, and New Zealand. These herbaceous perennials typically grow 10–120 cm in height (rarely above 60 cm), producing flowers on wiry stalks in shades of white, red, yellow, and orange during midsummer.
Well-drained soil; suitable for light (sandy), medium (loamy), and heavy (clay) soils. Prefers soil rich in organic matter. Mildly acid, neutral, or basic (mildly alkaline) soils acceptable.
