Polystichum setiferum is an evergreen or semi-evergreen fern native to southern and western Europe, with bright green, soft-textured fronds that are 30–120 cm long and typically droop gracefully. The fronds are bipinnate with cinnamon-brown scales on the stalks and midribs; individual fronds remain lush throughout the season and live nine to fifteen months.
