Jasmines can be deciduous or evergreen with leaves in opposing or alternating arrangement; some species are erect or spreading shrubs while others are climbing vines.
Suitable for light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils; prefers well-drained soil. Can tolerate mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils.
