Rhodiola rosea, commonly known as roseroot, is a perennial flowering plant in the stonecrop family (Crassulaceae) that grows naturally in wild Arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. It is a fleshy plant standing 5-40 cm tall with yellow to greenish-yellow flowers sometimes tipped with red, and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
