Elaeagnus multiflora
Elaeagnus multiflora, commonly known as goumi, cherry silverberry, or cherry elaeagnus, is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub or small tree native to China, Korea, Japan, and the Russian Far East. It produces fragrant pale yellowish-white flowers in mid-spring, followed by juicy, edible red fruits dotted with silver scales that ripen in mid- to late summer with a sweet but astringent taste similar to rhubarb.
