Thuja is a genus of evergreen coniferous trees or shrubs in the Cupressaceae (cypress family), with five species native to North America and eastern Asia. Members are commonly known as arborvitaes (from the Latin term for 'tree of life') and are characterized by evergreen foliage, flattened branchlets with scale-like leaves, and small cones.

Water: High · Height: 1500 cm · Soil: Suitable for light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Prefers moist or wet soil. Tolerates mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils, and can grow in very alkaline soils.
