Fargesia murielae
Fargesia murielae is a large, clump-forming evergreen bamboo native to the mountains of central China. It is considered one of the most beautiful bamboos in cultivation, with a graceful weeping habit that gives it the common name 'umbrella bamboo'. The plant grows 3–4 m tall with yellowish-green canes and longer-than-wide, pointed leaves arranged singly along the leaf stem. It forms dense clumps of closely spaced canes and does not have running rhizomes, making it non-invasive and requiring no containment.
