Epimedium is a genus of herbaceous perennials in the Berberidaceae family, growing to approximately 0.4 m (1 ft 4 in) tall with a spreading habit. The plants are characterized by compound leaves with spiny margins and distinctive four-parted spider-like flowers that bloom in spring, typically in lavender, pink, or white colors.
