shrubEuonymus is a genus of flowering plants in the Celastraceae family containing approximately 140 species of deciduous and evergreen shrubs, small trees, and lianas. The genus is characterized by inconspicuous flowers in small groups (green, yellow, pink or maroon), opposite simple ovoid leaves typically 2–15 cm long, and distinctive pink or white four- or five-valved pod-like berries that split open to reveal fleshy-coated orange or red seeds.
Suitable for light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils. Prefers mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. Can grow in semi-shade (light woodland). Prefers dry or moist soil.
