Creeping thyme is a dwarf, low-growing, creeping, woody evergreen groundcover native to Northern Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa. The plant measures 2–3 inches tall and 3–12 inches wide, with tiny elliptical, blue-green, aromatic, pubescent leaves about 1/4 inch long. Tiny deep pink to purple tubular bell-shaped flowers bloom along upright stems from June to September, attracting bees and butterflies. The plant is drought tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, and remains evergreen during mild winters.
