Tropical climbing summer spinach for hot conditions. Glossy thick leaves with mild flavour. Needs trellis. Heat-loving — replaces spinach in summer.
Thrives in the same full sun, moderate water conditions as Malabar Spinach
Start Malabar Spinach indoors about 6 weeks before your last frost, keeping seeds in warm soil (around 20–25 °C). Seeds usually come up in around 14 days. Move seedlings out once the danger of frost has passed, in full sun, spaced about 30 cm apart. Expect to harvest in roughly 70 days.
Keep track of the seeds you own.
Water: Medium · Height: 300 cm · Soil: Moist, fertile — heat-loving
These three thrive alongside Malabar Spinach — and alongside each other.
