Passiflora incarnata, commonly known as Maypop, is a vigorous climbing vine native to the southeastern United States. It produces striking purple and white flowers with elaborate corona filaments, followed by small edible fruits that mature in late summer. The plant is hardy, deciduous in cooler climates, and valued both ornamentally and medicinally.
