Spiraea is a genus of about 80 to 100 species of deciduous shrubs in the Rosaceae family, native to the temperate Northern Hemisphere with the greatest diversity in eastern Asia. These hardy plants produce many small flowers clustered in dense panicles, corymbs, or grape-like clusters, typically white, pink, or reddish in color.
