Hamamelis Γ intermedia is a deciduous shrub or small tree that grows 4 meters tall and wide, with zig-zagging stems and alternate, simple leaves that turn yellow in autumn. The yellow, orange, or red flowers with twisted petals appear on bare stems in midwinter through early spring, often with a fragrant scent. This hybrid between H. japonica and H. mollis is an upright or wide-spreading plant that is not densely branched but has multiple stems, making it ideal for specimen plantings, shrub borders, hedges, screens, and woodland or winter gardens.
