Coleus is a genus of annual or perennial herbs or shrubs, sometimes succulent, found throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of Afro-Eurasia. Members of the mint family (Lamiaceae), they are valued for their ornamental foliage that displays a wide range of vibrant colors and patterns. The genus includes both herbaceous species and shrubby forms, with some having fleshy or tuberous rootstocks.
Water: Medium · Height: 30 cm · Soil: Well-draining soil preferred
Coleus is usually grown from cuttings rather than seed. Take a healthy stem cutting, remove the lower leaves, and root it in moist, free-draining compost.
