Lavandula latifolia is a strongly aromatic evergreen shrub with broadleaf foliage that produces pale lilac flowers on spikes. Native to the western Mediterranean basin, it grows 30–80 cm tall and is hardier and produces more essential oil than common lavender, though with a stronger, more camphor-rich scent.
