Armoracia rusticana
Horseradish is a perennial root vegetable in the Brassicaceae family, cultivated worldwide as a spice and condiment. It grows up to 1.5 meters tall with bright green leaves and produces white four-petalled flowers in dense panicles. The plant is primarily valued for its large, white, tapered root which has a pungent, hot flavour used in sauces and seasonings.
Also a perennial — same seasonal rhythm as Horseradish
Horseradish is usually grown from division rather than seed. Lift an established clump and split it into sections, each with roots and a growing point, then replant.
Water: Medium · Height: 150 cm · Soil: Well-draining soil; tolerates a range of soil types but prefers fertile, moist soil.
