fruitVigorous cane fruit. Summer-bearing canes fruit on second-year wood (prune out spent canes after harvest). Autumn-bearing fruit on new wood (cut everything to the ground in late winter). Spreads by suckers; install a root barrier.
🐛 Prone to: Aphids, Spider mites.
Attract Hoverflies, Lacewings, Ladybirds, Parasitic wasps, Predatory mites, Minute pirate bugs to keep them in check — plant African Marigold, Angelica and Anise nearby.
Well-draining, fertile soil with pH 6.0-6.8. Avoid waterlogged conditions. Rich in organic matter preferred.
